These include Amadeus, Google, Mastercard, VISA, Tripadvisor, Trip.com. Booking.com, Sabre, Skyscanner and Expedia, among others. Together, they amount to a market capitalisation of nearly $2 trillion and they are working in partnership to provide travellers with clear, consistent and credible sustainability information, empowering them to make more informed choices. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;\">By asking certification bodies to meet a set of criteria, <a href=\"https:\/\/travalyst.org\/\">Travalyst<\/a> aims to enable industry alignment behind accommodation sustainability certifications. These criteria are designed to establish an initial threshold that supports the certification industry to meet evolving regulatory requirements. They represent the first step in a broader, ongoing effort to improve the sustainability governance of certifications for the accommodation sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><b><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;\">Earning our place on Travalyst\u2019s list<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a style=\"mso-comment-reference: fs_1; mso-comment-date: 20240916T1845; mso-comment-done: yes;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;\">We are pleased to be able to share that Green Tourism has been independently reviewed and deemed compliant with Travalyst\u2019s criteria. Green Tourism will therefore be included in Travalysts list of compliant sustainability certifications for accommodation providers, an initiative aiming to support certifications like ours, through the evolving legislative landscape, while providing consistency across travel booking platforms.\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;\">The certification bodies around the world focusing on sustainability standards in tourist accommodation operate to varying standards of quality. This has led to inconsistency and, as <a style=\"mso-comment-reference: fs_2; mso-comment-date: 20240916T1844; mso-comment-done: yes;\">Sally Davey, CEO of Travalyst, says \u201cWe hear time and time again that this can be overwhelming and confusing, not only for people wanting to book a more sustainable stay, but also for accommodation providers and booking platforms.
